Christmas break 2

Ok so everyone is probably wondering what I did for x-mas and what I got right?

At 11:30 pm on the 24th we went to the church to go sing and all that stuff. When we came home it was decided that we should open a few presents.
With my sleeping patterns in this break being so off, it was decided that I should get something to help me go to sleep, so at 12 pm I got some sleep medicine that I could feel beginning to work at about 1:30 when we we're done opening presents.
We opened presents again at 9 (after a rude awakening from Alex, thank you) and I'll just list off the things I got:

Three books, all of them in a series I'm reading currently.
A diary, which is awesome!
A - at least 100 years old, I'm not kidding - bracelet from my grandmother.
A shirt and pin from my godmother.
A pajamas from my host parents, they had probably noticed me not having a pajamas after I've lived with them for about a month and half...
Lot's of candy! On x-mas morning they fill the stockings up to THE TOP with candies! (in there was also some body lotion and shower gel)

I'm still waiting for two more presents (!) from my mom and dad that they ordered from here and is being sent to me. With the post office having late deliveries lately I do not expect them any time soon though :(

Christmas break was the best thing that has happened to me in months! I sleep almost half of the day (which is not really planned on my behalf) and rest pretty much the rest! I feel really rested so when I start my next semester I'll be awesomely ready!

Btw: I've only gotten grades from 1 subject which is american lit. It was an 80% score which lifted my average to 95.35% which is a highly deserved A! My teacher told me that out of her 6 classes a day I was one of the 10 people that had gotten an A! o.o

So that's pretty much it so far. I hope my next update will be soon.
But just so you all know; my updates won't continue to be like this. As soon as I start school again and have more to write about I'll update more ^^

Christmas break

You don't have to be a mind-reader to know that I have been EXTREMELY lazy the last two weeks... Maybe the no-updating part would have been a hint to you.
Sooo... What to say? Just the thought about what's been going on is too much to write about, so I'll do a quick update, ne?

Okay this will be kind of all over the place - aka not in time order.

I went to 2 Christmas parties this month. One with face the world which was a pot lock - bringing food to share with others - and a sleep over. I made my risengrød and it was gone real fast! I would like to think it as success from my side to just be able to make it on my own! Though I must admit that compared to the last time I made it (thanksgiving) I burned this a little. Very little though, it just started to stick a bit to the bottom of the pot, not really a big deal. At least it didn't start to stink...

The second Christmas party was with my karate club. Also a pot lock. I brought Amish bread that Cathy my hostmom made. I had a chance to talk to a lot of people I see at training but never really talk to. For example I got to know this boy that is actually part danish! The funny thing is that his name is Dane (the English word for someone from Denmark). We sat down and talked and people started leaving. He took out his watch and informed me that we had been talking for 1½ hours!! Wow, time flies when you have fun right? We talked about things we wanted to learn like languages. He had tried learning danish but stopped that. Now he's learning Russian because his girlfriends family is from Russia. He also took up German for a time and is now taking some kind of Japanese courses in his free time... Damn and I thought European people where bi-lingual!

Which makes me think about my new hobby (lol, not really) of taking up Chinese from online videos. I'm putting up Chinese phrases and stuff to remember.

I got a package from my favorite step uncle and aunt! Filled with goods in the form of danish Christmas cookies. I also now found out that the package that my mom and I had been waiting for, was already underneath my Christmas tree :/ Thank you mom! It was an awesome present and I especially loved the kick liquorice and kinder chocolate bar!

Wow...  Hm, what else...

Oh yeah! Cathy is pretty sure that I have bronchitis. DON'T PANIC! I won't die, I just cough a lot because I need to get rid of mucus in my throat (nice to hear, right?).
Since December started I've been taking vitamin C and since my sickness I've been taking three different kind of medications (over the counter) and cough drops. The first time I took this cough syrup that was supposed to help you sleep at night I didn't wake up before 1 or 2 o'clock in the evening! I even felt asleep at 10:30!

My finals was last Thursday and Friday. Apart from the history test I think I did really good. I know that my American lit test was 80% so that's great :) I haven't been graded on my other stuff yet and the deadline for grades to be turned in by the teachers is by January 2nd, so I might have to wait some while before knowing some of them :/

I think that's all for now! It was a lot, next time I'll cut it down maybe? Otherwise; have a great Christmas break everyone! Rest, drink hot chocolate and watch some Christmas calender!

2nd Semester

So we are soon reaching finals... That's going to be interesting :/
2nd semester I have 2 "blank" spots in my schedule. That's because 2 of my electives were only for 1 semester. So I'm not going to have photography or digital media :(
I can't have photography because it was only 1 semester and because I won't have a camera. Even my teacher say that it sucks that the school doesn't own their own.

Good news though: My art teacher (notice that both the 1 semester classes are art) miss Meyer said that she would like me to help teach her digital media class! It's so awesome because I can't take the class but I'm still going to be in it :D
Also I think that I'm going to do independent art instead of my photography blank spot. Independent art are more advanced students and you have to have approval from your teacher. I didn't even ask miss Meyer told me that it would cool if I did it :)

So yeah, even though they say independent art is hard to do I think next semester is going to be awesome :D

Pictures of the HOUSE!

What you have been waiting for...
Pictures of the house! I won't go into more details, so just look at the pictures!

These two pictures are my room. Messy of course!

"Formal" dining area? We only use it for special occasions.

Cathy's winter-city on the kitchen table.

Just look at the temperature! It is pretty cold right?

That was it! Hope you like it! This is pretty much of the house. The rest I didn't show you is Alex's room, Cathy and Jeff's room, the basement, bathrooms (which is not something I'll show you!) and the garage.

Long time no see

Finally!! She updated!
I know it's been a while, but nothing extra-ordinary have happened that was worth updating. But yesterday I did something!

I went sledging together with Alex, Meghan, her brother and Aaron! We went to a hill near a high school and then had fun for about an hour. It was really cold though. Today it was -13 Celsius so it was pretty cold!

On Friday there is another improv-show at the school and I'm going! I can't remember if I told you, but it's a show with actors that improvise their lines and come up with them as they go, it's really funny :)

I'll take some pictures of the house for you later. It's amazing! They have decorated for days and are still not done yet! :O

So I guess I'll try and update soon eh?
