Christmas break

You don't have to be a mind-reader to know that I have been EXTREMELY lazy the last two weeks... Maybe the no-updating part would have been a hint to you.
Sooo... What to say? Just the thought about what's been going on is too much to write about, so I'll do a quick update, ne?

Okay this will be kind of all over the place - aka not in time order.

I went to 2 Christmas parties this month. One with face the world which was a pot lock - bringing food to share with others - and a sleep over. I made my risengrød and it was gone real fast! I would like to think it as success from my side to just be able to make it on my own! Though I must admit that compared to the last time I made it (thanksgiving) I burned this a little. Very little though, it just started to stick a bit to the bottom of the pot, not really a big deal. At least it didn't start to stink...

The second Christmas party was with my karate club. Also a pot lock. I brought Amish bread that Cathy my hostmom made. I had a chance to talk to a lot of people I see at training but never really talk to. For example I got to know this boy that is actually part danish! The funny thing is that his name is Dane (the English word for someone from Denmark). We sat down and talked and people started leaving. He took out his watch and informed me that we had been talking for 1½ hours!! Wow, time flies when you have fun right? We talked about things we wanted to learn like languages. He had tried learning danish but stopped that. Now he's learning Russian because his girlfriends family is from Russia. He also took up German for a time and is now taking some kind of Japanese courses in his free time... Damn and I thought European people where bi-lingual!

Which makes me think about my new hobby (lol, not really) of taking up Chinese from online videos. I'm putting up Chinese phrases and stuff to remember.

I got a package from my favorite step uncle and aunt! Filled with goods in the form of danish Christmas cookies. I also now found out that the package that my mom and I had been waiting for, was already underneath my Christmas tree :/ Thank you mom! It was an awesome present and I especially loved the kick liquorice and kinder chocolate bar!

Wow...  Hm, what else...

Oh yeah! Cathy is pretty sure that I have bronchitis. DON'T PANIC! I won't die, I just cough a lot because I need to get rid of mucus in my throat (nice to hear, right?).
Since December started I've been taking vitamin C and since my sickness I've been taking three different kind of medications (over the counter) and cough drops. The first time I took this cough syrup that was supposed to help you sleep at night I didn't wake up before 1 or 2 o'clock in the evening! I even felt asleep at 10:30!

My finals was last Thursday and Friday. Apart from the history test I think I did really good. I know that my American lit test was 80% so that's great :) I haven't been graded on my other stuff yet and the deadline for grades to be turned in by the teachers is by January 2nd, so I might have to wait some while before knowing some of them :/

I think that's all for now! It was a lot, next time I'll cut it down maybe? Otherwise; have a great Christmas break everyone! Rest, drink hot chocolate and watch some Christmas calender!
