Nu skal i bare se hvad jeg fik at spise på ældrecenteret!
Maden bestod af suppe af skinke og hvide bønner, spinat ved siden af ( de hældte eddike på den!), vindruer og sødt brød - cornbread - med smør til.
Maden smagte overraskende godt for et første måltid. Jeg havde det stadigvæk dårligt efter min lange flyvetur så jeg spiste ikke så meget af det. Brødet spiste jeg som dessert fordi det var så sødt, men det er meningen at det skal spises til som f.eks flute.

Lunch! A typical american lunch... Yup you guessed it! Peanut butter and jelly!
This was... Good i think. Martha used this flat bread instead of regular bread and it tasted good. I don't even wanna know how many calories were in there. Good thing I only ate ONE!

After a hot day today Martha made an... Interesting drink.
It is root beer and vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was gooood, but when you had eaten all the ice all the rootbeer was left and that I didn't like. The root beer tasted kinda like liquorice.

Lunch today was bought in King soopers :)
It was nice and VERY tender chicken leg with potato salad. The potato salad reminded me of home :'D

Todays dinner was salmon and fries.
The salmon was a little harder to chew than the salmon back home but it tasted good. The fries was a bit soft, probably because we just had a new microwave (the other one broke) and Martha was unsure of how to cook it. With the fries came Tartar sauce. It tasted surprisingly good :)

Dinner at a steakhouse.
See the thing there on the left side? Guess what it is.
Chicken.With cheese on top and deep fried onions... Wow, welcome to America. They even deep fried the noodles at my lunch today :/
The rice on the side was supposed to be with mushrooms and onions but they tricked me >:O
All in all the food was good but boring. Wouldn't come there again, but only if necessary.

Yeah... Pretty much what lunch at the school looks like.
Well sometimes they have this "healthy" lunch. I like that better but there wasn't any today :(

Today's dinner was burger and the meat was amaaazing!

So Brandyn took us to this burger place right? Well the only way I can describe it is... Small and dirty? Even though it was how I felt the food was amazingly good and hey, you should try something new often right? :)

Today we went to McDonald's!
(I can just say: where ever you go, McDonald's smell the same... creepy)
I ordered chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce and a strawberry milkshake. It came with whipped cream and a cocktail cherry! Wow... Surprise there :/
Yesterday we also went to a restaurant and I ordered "Catalina".
It was a burger with chicken, cheese, avocado, tomatoes... yeah stuff like that.
It tasted gooooood :]

Look what I found at the supermarket!
Rugbrød!! Or what they call it: Rye bread. Funny to say :)
The bread was on sale for like $2 and I had to have it! soon I'll eat it with my liver paste! :D

Today's dinner was burger and the meat was amaaazing!
Vicky - the one from the youth group - said that this meat was antelope and it was so sweet! Like literally; it was sweet. It was so soft and I was so glad when she gave me a box of the meat, so that I could take some home!
We also ate smores, and I just have to say that it is almost the same as the one we make in Denmark. But it is just something else when you eat it with new friends and with other ingredients! :D

For my birthday we went to Red Lobster. It was VERY good and just looking at these pictures I want to eat there again!
I can't tell you what all of this was, just that it was all seafood (my favorite!).

For Valentines day the school sold sugar cookies. They were beautifully decorated! And tasty of course...

I just got a regular burger with cheese and bacon. Nothing special, but I think the milkshake I got was home made :)
Oh and my breakfast! I made it myself, it's something I learned from watching Cathy making us food.
It's basically a sandwich with mayonnaise, cheese, salt 'n pepper and one fried egg. It tastes really good. And I think it's something I'm gonna make for myself more often! Though I had this weird fantasy about me coming home and making everybody a dish of this...
